Treacherous Peacock was founded by Patrick Maley in 2009.  Patrick is a Musician, Producer, Executive Sales Leader and Consultant.  With a unique blend of talents in both the music and the corporate landscapes, Patrick understands the creative sides, hopes and aspirations of the artist, while being able to provide an executive perspective to the corporations behind those artists.   Treacherous Peacock was born out of necessity.  In the music industry, there are so many talented people and so few high end jobs.  When asked, Patrick would pair one of his talented musician friends with the band or artist that needed them.  “You need an A list touring guitarist by the weekend?  I’ve got the guy”.  It’s that simple.  Supply and demand.   Patrick would meet different musician’s, bands, managers and booking agents and hear the buzz on the street on what was needed.  He would then go into his vast contact list and see if he had the perfect person for that gig.  It turns out, he always did!  That’s how Treacherous Peacock started.  

The name however, came from a different source.  In the 1956 epic, The Ten Commandments, there is a great line delivered by Yul Brenner. “You are a sharp clawed Treacherous little Peacock, but you are food for the gods and I will have all of you.” It was that line that made Patrick laugh.  He’d been quoting that movie for years and he thought, what better name for his company than TREACHEROUS PEACOCK.  The Peacock itself is an interesting animal.  They have incredibly long lifespans as they can live for up to 40, even 50 years.  They symbolize power, strength, confidence and even divinity.  They are incredibly aggressive and they lay claim to their territory.  What better name for a company!
